Help Me Grow

What is Help Me Grow?

A program for expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers that provides health and developmental services so children start school healthy and ready to learn.

These services are offered at no cost to the family. The only requirement is that there be a pregnant woman or a child under the age of three in the home.

Some of the services offered include: home visits, developmental screenings, educational opportunities, information and referral for community services as well as support to the family designed around their concerns and goals.

Interested families can be referred by an agency, individual or self-referral.

Another aspect of the program is a prenatal and newborn home visit. All pregnant women and mothers giving birth in Mahoning County are offered a free home visit. This home visit, made by a registered nurse, offers medical information and support for the mother and child.

Interested families can be referred by an agency, individual or self-referral. Any questions regarding the program can be directed to Kim Johnson or Christine Hanysh at (330) 965-7912.
